Sturdy even in snow storms: the Mountain 25 by The North Face! The robust 2-person expedition tent has a refined pole design which makes it particularly sturdy in storms - the diameters of the pole arches are adapted to the tent design. The poles are thicker at the top than at the sides of the tent enabling stiffer tent walls and a flattened dome - this means more usable floor space. The floor of the Mountain 25 is fully sealed and its fly sheet material is coated with silicone - this way the tent keeps out bad weather without any problems. The large awning also provides dry storage space for luggage and a dry place to cook. The transparent PU window lets light in even when the awning is closed (the window material was tested up to -51 °C).The guy ropes are made from non-elastic Kevlar and can be adjusted using a cord tensioner - this keeps the tent fixed and secure. The ropes also reflect light and are visible in the dark. To ensure optimal ventilation, the Mountain 25 is equipped with special vents that enable a steady circulation of air.
