This boot is tailored to a particular area of use. It was specifically designed for speed hikers, ambitious mountain runners and speed-oriented mountaineers rushing to get to the top! The shoe is a combination of a running shoe and a mountaineering boot that will provide both agility and protection. What's more, the shoe has an incredibly grippy and robust sole with a cushioned midsole and will allow for a comfortable ride on fast ridge ascents. The shoe features side reinforcements, a seamless upper and low-cut collar that extends over the ankle. Snow, ice, dirt and gravel don't stand a chance! The gaiter can be closed at the top with a press stud and opened using the asymmetrical zip. The actual top of the shoe with its fast-lasing system and gusseted tongue is located underneath.
The Salomon S-Lab X Alp Carbon 2 GTX is a unisex model and is NOT a proper mountaineering boot (not compatible with crampons), but rather a stable mountain running shoe for surefooted athletes who love fast ascents and are looking for the ideal combination of flexibility and protection in a single shoe!
