The Scarpa F1 Evo falls perfectly between a classic ski touring boot and a weather protection shoe. it consequently combines superb weight economy with the utmost descent capabilities and comes with some impressively innovative details.
The closure mechanisms of this boot are designed to be simple and efficient. The FBC buckle with Velcro closure on the shaft only has two positions: open and closed. Changing from ascent to descent is accordingly quick and uncomplicated. The second part of the closure mechanism is the BOA system on the forefoot area. This allows a precision adjustment - to the millimetre - and a comfortable fit, thereby reducing the chance of pressure points. For performance on the downhill runs there is the X-Cage Evo construction on the shaft and the real carbon reinforced shell on the ankles and heels. This keeps the ski boots super light and also stiff and precise enough for ambitious, steep descents. The F1 Evo has a forward lean between 16° and 20° and a flex of 62°. This is supported by the flex zones in the thermo formable inner boot, which make these ski touring boots perfectly suited for active performance.
