Easy to open the carabiner once you have tried the locking mechanism a couple of times.
The carabiner attaches very securely to the belay loop with the internal wire gate, so it doesn't twist. However it is alsmost a bit too securely attached, as removing the carabiner isn't the easiest because of the wire gate only moving downwards. This is my only con though and I'm very happy with it.
I use it with my Neox breaking device from Petzl.
I've used this carbine with a GriGri for belaying for about 4 months and I'm absolutly loving it.
It's secure, easy to handle and robust. I love the anti-sideload latch, and that it clicks-in under load, so you don't break it, if you forget to engage it before belaying. The locking mechanism is great and locks of its own accord, even if you forget it.
In very very extreme circumstances, it can sideload, but I've only been able to do it intentionally, and I can't imagine a situation where it would ever happen unintentionally
It takes a while to get use to, and you really need to practice if you want to use it one-handed. So it might not be the best choice if you are doing multipitch or other scenarios where you would like to use just one hand. Also it's a bit heavy.
One improvement would be an easier mechanism to disengage the anti-sideload latch, that would make one-handed operation a lot easier.
All in all I'm very satisfied, and planning on buying one more, for use with my tubular ATC.
