For climbers of all kinds - the Climbing Technology Eye Round is a classic piton. Even in the age of nuts and cams, pitons are still used when there is no other option! Besides, who wouldn't rather use a piton for rappelling off of? You wouldn't want to leave your more valuable cams behind.
The tip of the piton has a U-like shape. The piton itself is made of soft steel so it can adapt to the rock. Thus, it is perfect for use in soft rock.
Note: The 12cm version is classified as a piton type P (progression), and the 14cm meets the requirements of a piton type S (for belays).
