Made for technical terrain - the Sum Tec Hammerkopf from Petzl! This ice axe boasts an angled shape, making it perfect for steep terrain, mixed stretches and easy ice walls. The type 2 aluminium shaft makes the axe both lightweight and stable. The Petzl Ice pick is made of steel and penetrates into hard ice with ease. The hammer makes it easy to drive in bolts.
The Trigrest hand rest will take the strain off of your forearms when you're not using a wrist strap. The holes at the spike and head are there so that you can attach a carabiner or some cord to the axe. With the Petzl Sum Tec Hammerkopf, you'll have a well-designed ice axe for tough adventures!
