The Mammut Barryvox S avalanche beacon has all the functions you need to find buried subjects quickly and easily. Even if there are multiple buried subjects, the Barryvox can locate, analyse, mark and save the different signals in a list. The Barryvox S even allow you to scroll up and down and remove those you've rescued in order to make searching for the others easier.
Another great thing about the Barryvox S is that it is a digital/analogue combi device with three antennas. That way, you can carry out your search in a digital or analogue mode depending on the conditions.
In the analogue mode, the bandwidth and search strip width are larger during the coarse search.
The Barryvox S guides the rescuer to the location of the victim acoustically and visually, which makes the search much easier, especially if you're in a state of shock. Another improvement compared to earlier models is the automatic switch from send to search (Auto Revert): If the rescuer doesn't move for 4 minutes, it is assumed that there was a secondary avalanche and the device switches to SEND mode. This is extremely important for your own safety when looking for companions!
The excellent usability of the lightweight Barryvox S with its easy-to-read display, buttons that will work when you're wearing gloves and the intuitive visual and acoustic guide available in 12 different languages demonstrates that a high-end, complex device like the Mammut Barryvox S avalanche beacon doesn't have to be complicated. However, you and your companions should always acquaint yourselves with the functionality of this or similar devices beforehand, at least before the start of the new season!
