The Camp Ice Master microspikes are the upscale version of this kind of crampon-like add-ons. They're perfect for walking over icy terrain. The microspikes are best suited for use in spring, early summer and late autumn when the forest paths and climbs up to the huts are frozen. You're probably wondering why you should go for microspikes instead of a light variation of crampons, which don't run than much heavier anyway. Spikes are the predecessors of crampons and have always been quite popular, especially among mountaineers. They're suitable for all walking boots with lateral stability. What's more, the spikes don't have any front points, which would just get in the way on flat, thin ice. The points are also much shorter than the long teeth on contemporary crampons, so beginners don't need to worry about stumbling on frozen surfaces as a result.
The Camp Ice Master microspikes are very robust and easy to put on thanks to the rubber and polyamide attachment system. Thanks to the pivot point at the front, you'll almost be able to walk normally. Microspikes such as the Ice Master would be ideal for mountaineering schools as well.
